Braithwaite Fold Campsite rests on the eastern shores of Lake Windermere, in the heart of the naturally stunning Lake District National Park, serving as an excellent base for exploring the attractions and activities on the southern Lakes. The site enjoys a unique location, positioned mid-way down the shores of Windermere, a short stroll from the Victorian village of Braithwaite, a popular tourist resort and a cracking spot for a day out with the family. Guests can also be within easy reach of the amenities in the sprawling town of Bowness nearby. The site is ideal for exploring the area on foot, with many attractions sprinkled in and around the lakes. Families and adventurous sorts can dive into the vast array of watersports. Boat hires are readily available, and there are several launches for guests with private crafts to get on the shimmery water. Spend a day whizzing about on a motorboat, kayak to your heart's content, or strip down to your bathing kit and dive in for a refreshing swim. Visitors who prefer minimal exertion are welcome to take a tour on a streamer or enjoy the more serene pursuits of calmly floating about in a dinghy.
