The Great Northern Inn is an accessible site attached to a welcoming family-style pub just off the A1, making it an ideal base for exploring Carlton and Sutton on Trent. Use the campsite's handy position to explore the area, and trudge back to the site to sit down with a warm welcome, a few drinks, and a piping hot, fresh meal. The food in the pub is reasonably priced and delicious, making it easy to refuel pre and post-sightseeing adventures. Purchase a few real ales and fresh snacks to munch on whilst sprawled on a blanket in the speckled shade of a tree. There are five hardstanding pitches with electric meters for touring vehicles alongside individual electric meters. Amenities consist of drinking water taps, chemical disposal and Wi-Fi. The owners are most helpful, and live entertainment is a bonus.
