Tranquil and entirely secluded, Little Oak Campsite lies nestled in the lush Nottinghamshire countryside near the picturesque market town of Retford. Sit back and enjoy the stunning views from the peaceful campsite that rests in the heart of Robin Hood land and Sherwood Forest. Despite its proximity to the A1, the site remains serene peaceful creating the ideal spot for a back to basics camping experience. Throw a blanket down and enjoy catching the rays in a spacious wild garden or head over to one of several vast fields enclosing the campsite for cheery matches of football, hide and seek, and the freedom to run around. Come on by for a quick stopover or kick back at the site on an extended stay and treat yourself to delicious seasonal produce like homemade jams and chutneys created from the fruit trees at the campsite. Prepare a delightful picnic, spread out a blanket by the glittering waters of the park pond and tuck into your meal as you soak in the rays or dive into a book. A gastropub a short walk away serves food at reasonable prices. There are no electric hookups on the pitches, but a socket behind the loo is open for guest use.
