At sundown, nocturnal animals like badgers and owls come out to play and have a peek at the cheery campers on-site, so feel free to get a fire going for stargazing and a chance to observe the local wildlife. The vibe here is wild camping: however, the owners have considered your needs by supplying the basics like a toilet, showers for all seasons and a washing up area. Sizzle up bangers and bacon for breakfast, or take a ten-minute trot to nearby Shaftesbury to let someone else do the cooking for a change. If you’re not feeling like moving about, the cheery owners sell sausages, farm food, and logs on-site. Spend glorious days at a pace of choice exploring the local landscape filled with museums, gardens, abbeys, and adventure parks.
