Dare Valley Country Park is the perfect spot for a countryside getaway. The site rests on whopping five-hundred acres of pristine rural landscapes, on the fringes of the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park. Dare Valley is the first country park in England and Wales created over damaged industrial land that once was bleak and held approximately nineteen pits and drift mines. Today, the lush landscape is a far cry from its former self and features shapely mountains, verdant valleys, tumbling rivers, and gleaming streams. Uncover the beautiful terrain as you plod along waymarked trails or follow peaceful routes on a bike. Wildlife thrives in this lovely corner of Wales, so don’t forget to pack field glasses to observe dippers and cormorants hunting for food by sparkling lakes. Kick back and soak in the sights of sprawling emerald fields generously sprinkled with wildflowers that merrily bob in the wind, as fluffy clouds dreamily glide across clear blue skies. The three-star awarded camping and caravan site serves as an excellent base for adventures in South Wales and offers a range of mod cons to ensure a relaxed stay. An on-site café is a welcoming spot for hot meals after a tiring day of explores. Barbeques are encouraged, and pets are most welcome to join well-behaved owners.
