Set in the lovely village of Tattershall Thorpe, Bain Valley Fisheries rests in rural Lincolnshire and boasts of seven mature lakes that are certain to delight anglers of all ages. This wildlife-rich site extends across a whopping hundred acres and rests deep within the rolling countryside of Lincolnshire. Four of the lakes hold carp, two contain a blend of carp and coarse fish, and the final lake is a syndicate run specimen lake. Some of the lakes are old quarry pits and can reach depths of up to eleven feet and all brim with a variety of fish making it the ideal spot for daytime and nighttime fishing. There is ample space for anglers to secure a secluded corner and cast a line as over half the campsite is made up of water. The fishery welcomes guests all year round and permits night fishing on a prior reservation basis. Take a break from fishing to explore the lovely countryside around on meandering, peaceful footpaths. Take your field glasses along to observe the wildlife around the lakes and park, and when hunger strikes take a quick trot to the village for a cosy thirteenth-century pub serving food and bevvies. History buffs can amble around the Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight Visitors Centre and the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre which are both a mere ten minutes’ drive away. There are no toilet facilities at the site: however, guests are more than welcome to head over to the farmhouse approximately three-hundred yards from the camping field.
