Escape the stress and schedules of modern life at the family-friendly Tinney Waters site, located in a peaceful, secluded rural setting, in proximity to the Devon and Cornwall border. The campsite rests on five serene acres, nestled in the lush countryside of North Devon, providing the perfect settings for a rural getaway. Three well-stocked lakes hold the usual coarse species, including Crucian Carp, Grass Carp, Ghost Carp, Tench, Rudd, Bream, Perch, and some Koi. Platforms were added in 2018, making the top of the lake the most accessible portion for casting a line. When you’re not pottering around the site, head out to get better acquainted with the scenic surrounds. Bask in the golden warmth of the sun on Widemouth Sands, set on the fringes of Bude, a smooth twenty-minute drive away. Just under a half-hour drive leads to the stunning Bude beaches of Crooklet and Summerleaze. Enjoy a range of water-based antics with the family as you rumble from the fab beaches on the Cornwall and Devon coastline. Uncover splendid spots for watersports and beachy days of sunbathing and swimming, or take in the scenic landscape as you follow the South West Coast Path. Parents are advised to keep a close eye on small children as the mobile homes look out over the lakes. Pets most welcome.
