Placed on the Welsh border in a lush valley, Borders Hideaway Holiday Home Park is a heavenly spot for camping, especially if you enjoy reading, heritage and the great outdoors. The small yet spacious park rests on the fringes of the Brecon Beacons National Park, no more than a five-minute drive from the picturesque village of Clyro, providing guests with easy access to local amenities. Mosey into the town of Hay-on-Wye to browse through numerous bookshops. Take home a few to dive into on your pitch. If you’re not a keen reader, why not explore the crumbling castle, or bring along a well-stocked hamper and a bottle of bubbly for a peaceful picnic by the sparkling river. Amp it up with water-based antics at the lovely village of Glasbury, where guests can enjoy kayaking and canoeing trips down the Wye. If walks are what you’re after, rumble over to Talgarth, set a smooth fifteen minutes away. Tackle dangerous climbs, or explore the gentler wooded area at a pace of choice. Wildlife lovers can observe an abundance of flora and fauna at the Pwll y Wrach nature reserve, set twenty minutes away. Head back to your electric optional hardstanding or grass pitch with bangers and other bits for sizzles under the stars. Canines are most welcome.
