Mad Hatters Campsite, quite unlike its name, is not quite the party but a peaceful rural camping spot, extending a friendly invitation to couples, groups, kids, glampers, campers, a canine companions. This cheery site enjoys a fantastic ambience and offers guests well-maintained pitches evenly spread out on a spacious field of lush Tussock grass, sprinkled with wildflower. You don’t have to be mad to enjoy your stay at this quirky Alice in Wonderland themed campsite, and there’s not a shadow of a doubt that the wee adventurers will have a good time here. A wild pond presents wildlife enthusiasts young and old with the opportunity to observe aquatic birds and other critters, while the feeding boxes sprinkled around the site encourage the local wildlife to pay a call at the campgrounds. An exciting playhouse rests near several meandering paths through the wild grass that is certain to be too tempting an adventure for the wee ones to ignore. The pitches carry the names of key characters in Lewis Carroll’s timeless story, and the glamping abodes are furnished as such that they hold a rather fairytale-like atmosphere. Owner David is often pottering around the site that rests on sizable hundred-acre farmland with views of the magnificent Ely Cathedral.
