This well-established campsite extends across forty acres of countryside in the stunning Peak District ensuring views, and seclusion yet quick access to family-friendly attractions like Matlock Bath, Gulliver’s Kingdom, and adrenaline-pumping rides at the Alton Towers theme park. First opened over thirty years ago by the Lomas family, the campsite continues to welcome families, couples, and well-behaved dogs. Use your well-placed position as a base to uncover the wild landscapes of the Peak District, or venture into the market towns of Bakewell, Matlock, Ashbourne, and Buxton to stock up on camping essentials, or discover excellent dining options. Walkers will be thrilled to know there are plenty of scenic walks around the campsite, including the stunning High Peak Trail. If you’d prefer to take in the sights on wheels, hire a bike an easy two miles from the site. When the kids aren’t exploring themes parks, let them burn energy at the campsite play area, cleverly placed near the pitches for adults to keep an eye on the tots. There are pigs, ponies, and wee lambs that love nibbling on treats, and are guaranteed to entertain the kids for hours. Take the tots to explore the cave nearby and enjoy an adventurous day out.
