West Lodge Lakes is a peaceful, spacious campsite providing caravan, camping and fishing opportunities on two pleasure fishing lakes. The family-run site and fishery hold roomy bases, including hardstanding for caravans and motorhomes. All plots come furnished with electric hookups and share access to the communal toilet, shower block, drinking water taps and chemical disposal. This adults-only site now welcomes children over the age of seven to enjoy the delights of angling at the middle and bottom lakes. The site offers angling folk the chance to take part in a variety of fishing events. Sign up for the fortnightly Sunday open matches, or host your tournament at the match pool. If you’re more inclined to favour a peaceful day of fishing amid the tranquil surroundings, feel free to plonk yourself down in a quiet corner and get right down to business. Savour the thrills of being able to amble out of your awning or tent, and get right to casting a line. There are several well-signposted walks around the premises outside the site, plus the Elizabethan Doddington Hall, which boasts lovely walled gardens, Flemish tapestries, and a café shop. Campers can also use the site as a base for exploring Lincoln or sampling a range of delicious dishes courtesy of the excellent eateries in the area. Pets are welcome.
