Acton Scott

If the stress and schedules of modern life are dampening your mood, rejuvenate and refresh the mind at Feather Down Country Retreats Acton Scott, a cracking encampment nuzzled on the Shropshire Hills. The abode rests in a private woodland clearing, enveloped by pastures that encourage wildlife and provide blessed guests with some of the finest vistas in the area. The viewsome site rests on an ancient Acton Scott estate and lies tucked amid some of the most captivating natural scenery in England, ensuring heartfelt goodbyes when it’s time to say adieu. This sprawling 1500 acre estate contains ancient woodland, open pasture, many farmsteads, plus stone and timber cottages, providing campers with hours of exploration without even having to set foot outside the campsite. The Acton family are the proud owners of these lands and trace their ownership as far back as the 12th-century, perhaps fuelling their love for preserving the history and heritage of their gorgeous estate. The Country Retreat tents are a joy to behold, boasting over 45 square meters of space, and a private hot tub next to each unit, for soaking in the scenery with a glass of bubbly in hand. Other features include comfortable mattresses and working showers with flushing toilets. Get into the camping spirit with campfires and barbeques as and when you please? Got a canine in tow? Bring them over for gleeful countryside scampers and walkies.
