The lovely site rests on the outskirts of Oswestry, is an hour’s drive away from the outdoorsy adventures in Snowdonia and the Shropshire Hills. The well-tended site brims with greenery and provides fishing enthusiasts with five-course fishing pools set amid twenty whopping acres of idyllic surroundings. Throw a line out over ponds stocked with carp, barbel, tench and bream. The owners welcome tent, caravan, plus motorhomes and accommodate hardstanding and fully serviced pitches. There are provisions for electric hookups as well. If you’re keen to pack light, there are several types of accommodation available to suit all travel needs and budgets. Guests can opt for the cosy static caravan, a spacious six-bedroom lodge, a two-bedroom cabin, or camping pods that sleep two to three adventurers. Shared facilities include a toilet block, hot showers, a washing up area, drinking water points, laundry amenities, and chemical disposal. The site is disabled –friendly and provides Wi-Fi access for those who need to remain in constant contact with the outside world. Tear yourself away from the site to uncover the local area brimming with railway museums, hikes in the hills, adventure centres, watersports, and crumbling castles. Guests craving a bevvie can take a five-minute trot over to Stonehouse Brewery for delicious craft beer.
