The Anchor Inn is a Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated campsite, positioned on the sparkling Shropshire Union Cana. The welcoming site rests just 4-miles from Newport and continues to welcome guests since first opening its doors to campers in 1969. Operated and owned by the same family for over 100 years, this friendly site provides guests with the perfect settings for unwinding. There are five grass plots with electric hook-ups and heaps of space for stretching out and soaking in the scenery with a book or cold bevvy (or both) in hand. Campers are sheltered from the outside world by mature trees and hedges, creating a relaxing atmosphere for unwinding and shaking off the stress of modern life. Facilities are clean and modern, with toilets, drinking water points, chemical disposal and recycling conveniences available for all guests. A tiny inn on the premises still contains its original tables, adding a welcome respite for parched campers, especially after a particularly taxing day of adventure. Set out to get better acquainted with the verdant beauty of Staffordshire while following scenic footpaths, canal towpaths and explores on a bike.
