Bungdale Head Farm Caravan and Camping Site is a splendid, lush base nestled on a working family farm in a peaceful location, affording stunning vistas across the fertile, sprawling North Yorkshire countryside. The clean and well-maintained site welcomes tents, small campervans, motorhomes and caravans on a mix of grass and hardstanding plots with optional electric connections. Facilities are immaculate and include toilets, a washing up area, drinking water points, and chemical disposal. The camping area rests on a working livestock and arable farm, so expect to see rolling fields sprinkled with grazing cattle, nonchalant sheep gazing at the campers from their paddock, and sheepdog bounding after a rumbling tractor during your stay. Guests can use the site as a base for exploring the North York Moors, Yorkshire Dales or East Coast resorts with ease, so don’t forget to pack your walking shoes or bring a bike along. The scenery and attractions of the Yorkshire Dales National Park are within easy reach, as are several National Trust and English Heritage properties, like the Rievaulx and Byland Abbeys, Helmsley Castle, and Nunnington Hall. Mosey back to base with an armful of barbeque bits, and slap on the grill as the stars begin to make an appearance in the sky above. Pets are welcome.
