Nestled within a sheltered, disused quarry now overrun by mature trees, wildflowers and mosses, the Lower Wensleydale Caravan Club Site is a peaceful base for relaxing and escaping the complexities of the rat race. The friendly site holds a mix of grass and hardstanding pitches with optional electric connections for tents, small campervans, motorhomes and caravans. The site also provides caravan storage and seasonal pitches if required. Facilities are clean and include the standard toilets, hot showers, pot washing area, laundry, drinking water points, gas exchange, chemical disposal and Wi-Fi access. Designated disabled-friendly features are also available if required. Guests can pitch or park up in a variety of pitching areas, each field providing campers with the freedom to get back to nature and unwind. Fall in love with the natural splendours of the rolling landscape, peppered with snaking trails, picturesque villages, heaps of historic sites, excellent eateries and plenty of space to stretch out and relax. Ducks and rabbits roam freely on the campsite and often come to have a nose around the campers. Sit back and keep a lazy eye on the passing local steam train as you sit back and enjoy the laidback atmosphere. Pets are most welcome to tag along.
