The Howard Caravan Club Site is an attractive member’s only site nestled in the fertile heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Guests can sit back and enjoy the sights and sounds from a picturesque riverside position, on the fringes of Rosedale Abbey and a short distance north of Pickering. Fans of the popular TV show ‘Hearbeat’ are certain to recognize several locations from the TV programme. The site rests opposite the lush settings of the Farndale Valley, where wild daffodils burst into bloom around Easter. Another must-see location is the Rosedale show, which kicks off in mid-August. All conveniences are within easy reach in the town of Pickering, while the delights of the coast rest a short drive from the campsite. History buffs are enveloped by a wealth of exciting historical attractions, including Pickering Castle, Whitby Abbey and Helmsley Castle. Trips to the coast are not complete without visiting the Jurassic rock formations at the National Trust Bridgestones. Active types can explore the landscape on scenic trails, cutting through dense forests in the area. Campers who prefer little to no exertion can soak in the sceneries on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway. All pitches are grass, and pets are most welcome.
