The family-run Thornton Hall Farm Country Park is an excellent base for outdoorsy adventures like walking and sightseeing. It rests on a peaceful working farm sandwiched between the dales and the Ribble Valley. Get back to nature on this friendly farm and try your hand at daily farming activities under the supervision of the cheery owners. If farm life isn’t quite your cup of tea, explore the scenic surrounds of this spacious park that rests on the borders of Yorkshire and Lancashire. The landscape brims with mist-clad moors, rolling hills, wild forests and stone bridges making Thornton Hall an excellent base for open-air pursuits. The tots will enjoy feeding the lambs plus other farm animals, meeting llamas, handling rabbits, and collecting eggs for breakfast. Guests are welcome to bring barbeques and sizzle meats and sausages as the stars begin to twinkle above. An outdoor and indoor playground ensures there is heaps of space and freedom for young campers to run about, kick a ball around and make new friends. Snacks, hot and cold drinks, desserts and hot and cold food is available at the on-site café. Thornton Hall welcomes tents, campervans, motorhomes and caravans. Guests can opt for grass plots with or without electricity. Dogs welcome.
