Approach Farm Caravan Site is a family-friendly campsite owned and run by the same family for over 25-years. Present owners Angus and Kerry Gowthorpe have operated the site for over 9-years and certainly know a thing or two about keeping guests happy and relaxed. Set just 7-miles from the south of York and just 0.5-miles from the sleepy village of Riccall, with local amenities like shops, cafes, pubs, a takeaway and an excellent Italian restaurant. A convenient and regular bus service stops approximate 500-meters from the site and rumbles into York, Selby and the welcoming tea room located a short 10-minute trot away. Guests can also opt to drive into the city of York, located a 25-minute drive away, or access stunning natural beauty in places like the Yorkshire Coast and the Yorkshire Wolds and Moors set an approximate hour’s drive away. The campsite rests on a working arable beef farm, boasting quiet and viewsome settings for a restful escape from the modern world. A well-maintained 1.2-acre grass site holds 16 electric grass pitches, plus two non-electric bases for small campervans, motorhomes and caravans. Basic amenities like a toilet block, drinking water points, chemical disposal, battery charging, and recycling conveniences are available for guest use. Well-behaved pets are welcome.
