Fangfoss Old Station Caravan Park is a peaceful, lush site covering 4.5 acres, with a collection of grass and hardstanding plots, positioned on an old railway line. The site rests on the old York – Beverley, closed in 1965, with the station house and its platform giving the friendly yet straightforward site oodles of character. Sit back and enjoy the sights and sounds of this peaceful rural location, nestled amid rolling farmland, as you sit back in a deck chair or survey the stunning views from the comforts of your unzipped tent. During World War II, the old station was abuzz with activity, with troops, livestock, and agricultural goods regularly making their way to and from the now-closed railway line. Today, the campsite that rests in its place was modelled to bring forth the best of the existing structures, with the site developed around the platforms of the old railway station, which is now an official Grade II listed building. The stunning countryside settings are just the thing for getting away from it all, so feel free to stretch out on your pitch and unwind with a book or a cold beverage of choice. Apart from the tent and touring pitches, the site also has seasonal pitches on offer. Well-behaved canines are welcome.
