Wagtail Park

The idyllic, family-owned Wagtail Park is ideally situated between the A1237 and the A64, and rests on ten gorgeous acres of landscaped park, offering ample opportunity to stretch out and unwind while enjoying easy access to local amenities. This lovely, quiet campsite rests on the fringes of buzzing York and is an hour’s drive from popular local attractions like the North Yorkshire Moors National Park as well as the lively coastal resorts and golden sand beaches nearby. Those who enjoy the art of angling will be pleased to know the site holds a well-stocked fishing lake stuffed to the gills with a variety of species including tench, roach, carp, perch and bream. There are two tackle shops within a ten-minute distance from the site as well, so don’t forget to pack in your fishing gear and license for hours of peaceful waiting for a bite by the gleaming waters. The laid-back site encouraged barbeques so feel free to fire up the grill at sunset and slap on your catch with local produce other bits for a delicious alfresco meal under the sparkling canopy of stars. Take a break from fishing with explores in the lively city of York. Explore popular attractions in this medieval town including the famed York Minster, the Jorvik Viking Centre, and the National Railway Museum. The site welcomes all touring vehicles and welcomes pets. Camping pods are also available.
