The Three Merry Lads is a friendly, welcoming pub site set on the outskirts of a residential area in the buzzing city of Sheffield. The pub opens for lunch and dinners, making it easy for campers for weary wanderers to enjoy a scrumptious hot meal before hitting the sack in preparation for a new day of adventures. Breakfasts are available on weekends. This simple, no-fuss site is very peaceful, and there is not much noise, even from passing traffic past ten p.m. Campers who wish to stretch their legs and take in a bit of the local area can trot over to the end of a beer garden and follow a nice, quiet path to the Rivelin Dam. The camping area rests amid beautiful countryside landscapes yet is a no more than a smooth five miles from thriving Sheffield and a trifling half a mile from the borders of the Peak District National Park. There are numerous walking and cycling trails for all abilities and ages. Uncover peaceful paths in and around the National Park as well as heaps of intriguing attractions and sites. Head back to base for homemade food and cask ale followed by a soothing cup of premium coffee before bed.
