Highfield House Caravan Park is a well-sheltered caravan and camping site set on a manicured 1.4-acre field. The site rests on a slightly sloping area; however, most pitches are level and generously spaced to provide ample space for stretching out and soaking in the sunshine. Crack open a cold one, and soak in the spectacular vistas of golden cornfields, and watch the wind ripple through the fertile landscape, dancing in the leafy treetops and fields, providing a welcome cool from the golden rays of the sunshine. Cool off with well-deserved ice cream from the famed Charlotte’s Ice Cream Parlour, which offers a delightful array of delicious ice cream flavours. Sign up to watch the entire ice cream making process, from milking the cows, making the ice cream, and tasting the delicious end product. Getting about is easy, as a convenient bus service stops approximately 50-yards from the base, providing guests with an alternative way to soak in the scenery, minus the hefty holiday parking fees. The bus rumbles past the site every half hour or so, with the final bus departing from Huddersfield at 11 p.m. The Yorkshire Sculpture Park nearby offer an exciting stop on your sightseeing tour, and the campsite serves as an excellent base for exploring Wakefield and Huddersfield. Highfield House Caravan Park welcomes tents, touring vehicles, and dogs.
