Low Wray Campsite is a cracking campsite providing guests with a memorable lakeside camping and glamping escape. The site rests next to Lake Windermere's more peaceful western shores, a reasonable distance away from the congested streets and touristy attractions like Ambleside and Bowness, making this a relaxing spot to get away from it all. This stunning National Trust site provides guests with a wide range of camping accommodation, ensuring adventurers of all means and camping requirements have the opportunity to savour the pristine beauty and peace of this stunning corner of England. Traditional tent campers are most welcome to pitch up on plots directly on the waterfront or with spectacular lake views. Campervans and motorhome owners can set up camp on hardstanding plots tucked near woodland or around the campsite track on the fringes of the base, affording stunning views of Windermere's shimmering beauty. A limited number of hardstanding bases have electric meters, so prior booking is recommended. Guests who enjoy camping amongst the branches are welcome to enjoy the delights of camping in a tree tent with slide and roof windows, a wood-burning stove, and LED lighting. Camping pods offer better protection from the elements, plus the convenience of a lockable door and mattresses. Luxurious safari tents each feature a gas cooker, wood burner, plus beds and a sofa bed for six people. No pets are allowed in the glamping abodes.
