The Jammy Patch

Wake up to spectacular vistas of the Cumbrian Fells, a sliver of Morecambe Bay shimmering in the south, rolling emerald-hued fields at The Jammy Patch, a splendid site nestled in a beautiful part of the Lake District. The site is an excellent base for both action-packed days out, exploring the adventures of the Lake District, or idle days lounging on the site, book in hand. Wake up at your pace to the relaxing trills of birdsong carrying across the rolling landscape, and step outside your tent to let the stunning natural beauty soothe the mind and soul. Much wildlife is visible on the site, and there is a smattering of local light pollution, ensuring a clear view of the sparkling night sky. There are no more than tent pitches on the site, providing guests with ample room to stretch out and unwind. Cold showers are available on the premises, and there are many health benefits, including improved circulation and strengthened immunity, so go ahead and dispel any initial nervousness. The freshwater is spring-fed and chemical-free. A camper’s tea room is equipped with a chest freezer, a dining area, a charging place for phones, a tea and coffee making area, and plenty of local information on the nearby points of interest. Sorry, no pets are allowed.
