The cascade is a trifling five-minute drive away and was described in the poem ‘The Idle Shepherd-Boys’ by William Wordsworth. The picturesque village of Skelwith Bridge is a smooth ten-minute drive away. It provides campers with easy access to local amenities and quick connections to the bustling town of Ambleside. Spend your days unwinding as you kick back at base and soak in the tranquil atmosphere paired with sweeping views, and feel the stress of everyday life melt away. Those in search of relaxation can kick back and soak in the views on-site, or head out for calming walks that begins right outside the campsite gates. The more adventurous types can set out to conquer the Langdale Pikes, or head out for longer treks to lovely fells like Pike O’Blisco and Crinkle Crags set a two-hour distance away on foot.
