Low Park Wood Caravan Club Site is such a tranquil base; you’ll not want to leave behind the stunning surroundings of the National Trust woodland on which the site rests. Access the site via a peaceful country lane beside a flowing river, and set up camp amid colourful wildflowers at this quiet, spacious site. The serene settings are just the thing for escaping the rat race and diving right into the soothing atmosphere of woodland, brimming with a variety of wildlife. Bring your field glasses along for a close up look at the varied birdlife in the area, or make a note of the wide range of flowers, including beautiful wild orchids. Angling folk in possession of a National River Licence are most welcome to bring their gear along and fish in the river. Permits are also available at the site office from the 1st of February to the 31st of August. Nature lovers can explore numerous viewsome walks from the site, while urban explorers potter around the town of Kendal, an excellent spot for an afternoon of strolling and sightseeing. Kendal is particularly famous for its mint cake, so be sure to sample a piece when you’re there. Low Park Wood Caravan Club Site offers optional electric metered grass plots and seasonal bases for tents and touring vehicles. Barbeques are encouraged as long as they are off the ground, and pets are welcome.
