Mains Farm Camping and Caravan Site is a safe, friendly site, perfectly positioned a trifling twenty to thirty-minute drive from England’s most frequented National Park, Lake District as well as Hadrian’s Wall and the beautiful Highlands. The heavenly site is perfect for families with kids and offers parents a safe, child-friendly landscape that provides the nippers with plenty of space to run about and kick a ball without the constant watchful gaze of a parent or guardian. Free-range kids provide the adults with heaps of time to sit back and soak in the views with a merry clinking of glasses. The site is also a hot spot for the outdoorsy types, especially anglers, who flock the campsite to make use of the site’s own single bank salmon and fishing spot located two-hundred meters up the road. Cyclists often use the site as a place to rest their head for the night as they follow the challenging Coast to Coast Cycle Route. The Cumbrian countryside is spectacularly scenic, affording lovely walking and hiking routes for those who want to explore the area on foot. Guests who do not wish to travel far can follow one of the Mains Farm trails that meander through the site’s land, allowing campers the freedom to enjoy lovely trails minus the crowds. There are grass plots with and without electric hookups and camping pods. Pets welcome.
