Sykeside Camping Park is a certificated site set in a lovely, remote location affording a wealth of scenic walks. The campsite is an excellent base for walking and rests in the verdant Dovedale Valley, and provides guests with easy access to Lake District National Park and Cumbria. The A592 is nearby and allowing campers to enjoy well-known locations like Patterdale, Ullswater, Glenridding, Ambleside, Coniston and Keswick via a half-hour drive from the campsite. Watersport enthusiasts can head out to Windermere just twenty minutes away and enjoy a range of exciting pursuits ranging from ferry rides to canoeing. Visitors can also hire out a boat and explore the river, or learn to sail at the Glenridding Sailing Centre on Ullswater. If you’d prefer to soak in the scenery with minimal exertion, hop on a boat and take a pleasant journey from Coniston Water or Keswick. Follow a hiking trail that leads from Aira Force waterfall or potter around the gardens and medieval manor of Dalemain Mansion and Historic Gardens. History buffs can enjoy a delicious blend of heritage and cinema at the Rheged Centre at Penrith. Wildlife lovers can observe majestic ospreys at Bassenthwaite near Keswick. Head back to base to savour a spectacular sunset from your roomy pitch with or without electric hookups. Tents, campervans, motorhomes and caravans are welcome. Pets allowed.
