Amenities are limited to the essentials, including toilets, hot showers, a pot washing area, recycling conveniences and Wi-Fi access. The site rests on the A6 on the northern side of the small market town of Penrith, which boasts an excellent tourist centre for days out on the town. An array of transport links make it easy to explore the area without incurring costly holiday parking fees. Pop into the small specialist shops, sate your appetite at several excellent restaurants, cafes, and pubs, or take the family out to enjoy the leisure and sports facilities on offer. Thacka Lea Caravan Park rests on the Coast to Coast cycle route, providing earnest cyclists with plenty to savour as they pedal along the scenic, peaceful and well-known paths. The site has been a family-run operation for over 40-years and holds no more than 25 pitches for touring vehicles and caravans. Dogs are welcome.
