The site rests on a lovely 11-acres’ of working pine and deciduous woodland, a mere 10-minute stroll from the pretty village of Edenfield. The site rests nuzzled amid peaceful surroundings and serves as an excellent centre-point for friendly holidays amid rolling greenery. Kick-off your stay by exploring the 11-acres of woodland around the site, and then set your sights on scenic footpaths and cycleways crisscrossing the areas near Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall which also boasts excellent stops for post-exertion pints and food. If you prefer to enjoy your meals on the campsite, the friendly owners encourage barbeques, so feel free to fire up the grill and settle in for alfresco sizzles when the mood strikes. There is a collection of excellent eateries in the nearby village of Endfield for days you’d like someone else to do the cooking. Fuel up for the day on cooked breakfasts, or grab a croissant to munch on the way. Dearden Wood is a no-frills tent camping base with spacious non-electric grass plots on the forest floor. Facilities are basic and include a toilet block and showers. Dogs are welcome.
