Ashworth Valley Scouts Camp Site is a beautiful 50-acre site nestled on the fringes of Pennine Hill, a short drive from the M62. Run by volunteers for volunteers, the site has three main camping fields and two separate areas for backwoods and survival activities. Enjoy the sights and sounds of rural Lancashire in the verdant, open countryside bordering the Pennines, yet easily located for accessing adventures in the area courtesy of the Greater Manchester’s motorway network. The site also has two accommodation buildings, ideal for guests who prefer camping escapes with a few creature comforts at hand. The Janet Cotton Pack Holiday Centre has ample space to accommodate 36 adventurers comfortably. It features central heating, a hall, integral toilets, showers with hot water, tables, chairs and a fully equipped kitchen for whipping up snacks when the mood strikes. For the delights of a cosy woodburning stove, stay in the Ranch House, a centrally heated abode with space for four on bunks and a hall sleeping 20 on karrimats on the floor. The Ranch House comes kitted with tables, chairs, and a fully-equipped kitchen with all utensils. Settle into your unit, and set about experiencing the wide range of outdoor and indoor activities on offer. Pets are not welcome, except guide dogs.
