Lee Valley Campsite in Sewardstone is a peaceful, spacious site ideally located just forty minutes from the buzzing capital London, yet rests within a serene wildlife-rich area, making it an excellent spot for countryside retreats and urban days out with the family. Soak in the sweeping views of the lush Hertfordshire and Essex countryside as you savour a slower pace of life, and shake off the stress of everyday life. The site rests amid the delightfully empty trails of the River Lee Country Park that sprawls over a whopping thousand acres, providing walking paths and bike routes. Gunpowder Park is another excellent spot for lush sceneries and activities and events to keep visitors of all ages entertained. For water-based fun mosey over to the Lee Valley Boat Centre and indulge in an adrenaline-fuelled afternoon of whitewater rafting, or turn it down a notch with leisurely paddles on the lake with the nippers, or head out for a river cruise and take in the scenery from a different angle. The tots will have heaps to see and do at Waltham Abbey's Lee Valley Park Farms, which has four adventure play areas and exciting events like pig racing. The kids can also meet animals like llamas and reindeer. Head back to base and end an eventful day of sightseeing with a sunset barbeque. The site welcomes tents, campervans, motorhomes and caravans. Pets allowed.
