Croft Cottage Camping is a lovely site set out on 2-acres of natural gardens and paddock, surrounded by the stunning settings of the famed New Forest National park. The site offers camping and stays in a beautiful oak framed lodge, providing active types with a traditional and self-catering option to unwind and rejuvenate from the complexities of modern life. Owners Helen and Bill are fantastic hosts who take the time to sit by the fire with campers, laughing, joking and watering the family feel of this peaceful campsite. There are different spots to set up camp in a tent, campervan or motorhome, including the Alpaca Paddock, which, as you guessed, blends camping under the stars with the company of three fluffy alpacas. The animals are pretty placid and well-behaved, so feel free to get acquainted with the charming creatures on-site, with prior approval from the owners. Pitches are all laid out in a circle, affording an inclusive feel, combining a sense of privacy with a feeling of being part of the other campers. Every morning Bill takes the kids to count the eggs laid by the free-roaming chickens. Croft Cottage Camping welcomes tents, small campervans, and motorhomes on grass pitches with optional electric meters. Dogs are welcome.
