Pondhead is an excellent centre-point for short term escapes to the stunning New Forest National Park, offering guests a peaceful and quiet base for exploring the natural landscapes that make up this viewsome national park. Swap a sedentary office life, polluted air, and the unending drone of the big cities for green open spaces, fresh countryside air, plenty of open-air exercise and the freedom to kick back or head out for active days of travel and sightseeing. This Pondhead conservation site aims to restore the hazel coppice, woodland, and tracks crisscrossing the Pondhead Inclosure, near the large village of Lyndhurst, in hopes of encouraging and improving biodiversity in the forest, simultaneously enhancing visitor enjoyment of this unique national park. An ideal location in the heart of the forest opens up scenic tranquillity and quick access to numerous walking trails and cycling routes. Soak in the rich offering of flora, butterflies, bees, and fauna from your peaceful position, and observe free-roaming grazing ponies as you let out a sigh of contentment and appreciate the friendly atmosphere. The camping site consists of a one-acre paddock, enveloped by lush farmland and the ancient woods. A reasonably level one-acre site has an on-site butchery, with a small farm shop stocking basic camping provisions. There Is no extra charge for awnings, gazebos, and dogs.
