Puddledock Woods Camping is a friendly, rural site nestled in lush, two-acre woodland, ideally placed a twenty-minute drive from the cathedral city of Canterbury, and twenty-five from the coastal town of Margate. Use the site as your base to explore the waterways and woodlands in the area or sit back and savour the delights of wild camping in wildlife-filled woods as you pitch a tent on mon-electric grass and earth plots, evenly spread out on this friendly smallholding. Walking enthusiasts are in an ideal location for peaceful strolls owing to a wealth of public walks that crisscross the site. Explore a Georgian era inn overlooking out over the gleaming waters of the River Stour, or traverse across the wet grasslands and reed beds at the Stodmarsh National Nature Reserve, both located a pleasant twenty-minute stroll from the campsite. For more rambles, mosey over to the golden coastline and gaze out at the sparkling ocean or explore the shoreline at a pace of your choosing. Stop for a meal at one of the cosy pubs en route back to base. If you’re in the mood for whipping up a meal, stock up on meats and other bits, and mosey back to base to sate your appetite alfresco. There is no electricity or night-time lighting, affording an unrivalled view of the clear canopy of stars. Pets welcome.
