This back-to-basics site is a delightful spot for idyllic escapes and is a negligible two-minute walk from the inviting soft sands and azure ocean waters of South Beach. Trundle the kids along with buckets, spades and other beach toys and let the wee ones spend many a happy hour building castles in the sand. If you’d prefer to kick-start your day in the countryside, head over to the picturesque village of Snettisham and spend an exciting day at the RSPB reserve and observe pink-footed geese, sea avocets, and other birdlife in the mist-clad marshlands, tall reed beds and gleaming waters of the freshwater lagoons. Titchwell Marsh is another beautiful location that offers access to a wide sandy beach providing spectacular vistas cross the Wash - lovely bay set on the borders of Norfolk and Lincolnshire. Watersport and boating enthusiasts can trot over to the seaside resort of Hunstanton and treat the kids to a visit at the Sea Life Sanctuary which accommodates seals, penguins, otters, and other water-based species. Campers can kick back on grass with or without electric hook-ups. Glamping bell tents plus glamping shepherds huts are available for glampers while self-catering cottages, chalets and a B&B offer accommodation for those that do not want to camp. Barbeques and campfires are encouraged, and dogs are welcome any time of the year.
