Nature-filled stays are a given at The Shieling, a tranquil site nestled amid lush countryside. Owners of small campervans, motorhomes and caravans are welcome to park up on soft pitches with electricity and drink in the stunning countryside views, with the sparkling sea shimmering in the distance. The camping field lies adjacent to the owner’s garden, with a reasonable amount of space for the young ones to frolic and enjoy the fresh countryside air. There is minimal light pollution in the area, ensuring unrivalled visibility of the star-studded sky and the chance to see many shooting stars during your stay. The hooting and rustling of barn owls flying back and forth over the cornfield resting next to the camping field are the only sounds that break the silence at night. The Cley nurseries opposite the road offer delicious cooked breakfasts, including bacon butties, and looks out over the mist-clad marshes. There are plenty of interesting places to visit in the area, so head out for gentle countryside walks or kick back in a deck chair in front of the beach huts at Wells-next-the-Sea. Dogs are welcome.
