It's pitches to pints in minutes at the Plough Inn; a spacious, conveniently positioned campsite tucked away behind a country pub, just off the A12. The site serves as a handy centre-point for exploring the delights in Suffolk, including picturesque seaside towns, sandy beaches, and a range of amusements for visitors of all ages. There are five hardstanding pitches with water and electric hook-ups for small campervans, motorhomes, and caravans. On-site facilities include standard toilets, hot showers, a washing up area, drinking water points, and chemical disposal. The campsite provides designated disabled-friendly features as well. Guests can enjoy the wonderfully relaxing atmosphere on-site and access the pub’s garden area plus playground a stone’s throw from the pitches. There is plenty to see in the area, including ambles along the pier in Southwold or a tour of the Adnams brewery to see how ales are made. Active types can stroll from Southwold to Walberswick or whizz along on high-speed boat trips from the harbour. The kids and nature lovers can marvel at a range of species at Africa Alive! Animal Park, and the RSPB Minsmere, all located within easy reach. Make your way back to base with an armload of bits for the barbeque, and settle in for alfresco evenings. Pets welcome.
