Rowan Craft is a fun, family-run campsite located on a pretty, well-maintained boatyard on its own little island. The site provides an unrivalled sense of serenity, positioned on the gleaming waters of this splendid stretch of Waveney, brimming with wildlife and easy paddling on the river due to the gentle flow of the water. Guests can opt to move upstream from the campsite to the nearby Locks Inn, a cracking site with oodles of character, history and real ales. Active types and families in search of a day out can paddle downstream to the bustling town of Beccles, which is a great spot to moor up your canoe and take a gentle walk into town. There are fantastic places to grab a bite, like Waveney House Hotel, plus pubs, shops and delicatessens offering a range of treats for refuelling after a paddle. The site rents out ‘Old Town’ Canadian style open canoes, which are ideal for all ages, plus day launch hire for quiet cruising and family picnics.
