Eco-conscious camping is the order of the day at Green Haven Camping. This peaceful, quiet family-friendly campsite describes itself as a wildlife garden rather than a formal campground, and the camping area features long grass and local plant to create a natural, secluded habitat for local wildlife. Green Haven rests in the picturesque village of Rumburgh and enjoys a convenient location to seaside towns like seaside resorts of Southwold and Walberswick as well as the beautiful Suffolk Heritage coastline. In keeping with the serene atmosphere on-site, the parking area is set in a separate location from the camping field. A garden trolley is provided to lug your belongings to and from the plots. The small site can cater to five motorhomes or caravans and no more than ten tents at any given time. Electric hook-ups are available if required. There is a lovely, refurbished one-bedroom Wheelwright’s Cottage for hire as well if you don’t fancy wrestling with a tent and dragging your sleeping bag to and fro. Settle into your plots and enjoy heaps of seclusion owing to the trees, hedges and fields that surround the site. The toilet blocks use harvested rainwater for flushing the toilets and utilize field-mounted solar panels for generating electricity. A small on-site shop stocks eggs and other local produce which are ideal for a lovely sunset barbeque on your pitch. Fur babies are welcome to tag along.
