Nestled between the famed Sherwood Forest and the diverse delights of the Peak District National Park, Croft Campsite is a peaceful family-owned campsite is ideally located for quick access to the nearest village centre and boasts of spectacular vistas. Owners Guy and Maria alongside their children Jake and Ella have heaps of history in the field of tourism, having lived and rented out two villas in Egypt for several years, before moving back to the UK in 2013. The cheery family set about acquiring and building Croft Campsite and now have four years of campsite ownership under their belts. Rumble in and a member of the family or team will greet you and offer a range of leaflets about the local area and the facilities on site. All pitches are grass and are flat and well-marked out. Guests are usually welcome to pick a plot: however, pitches are assigned for groups or during peak seasons. Energize yourself with a steaming cuppa from the complimentary tea and coffee making facilities and set about settling into your pitch. Croft Campsite does not own a formal shop, but items like toothbrushes, torches, batteries and marshmallows are available for purchase. Communal facilities include a spacious toilet and shower room with underfloor heating, unlimited hot water, a washing up area, and a washing machine plus dryer. Rent out a firepit for a modest fee and huddle around the flickering flames as marshmallows slowly brown over the fire and the sparkling stars twinkle above. Pets are welcome throughout the year.
