Forest Garden Shovelstrode is a unique glamping site nestled amid enchanting woodland, surrounded by the striking beauty of the High Weald, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The site is an ideal base for guests who prefer savouring unrivalled scenery and tranquillity, with stunning gardens and woodland providing a beautiful environment for everyday escape. There are six separate glamping abodes made up of two yurts and four cabins, all generously spaced approximately 50-meters apart for a sense of seclusion and privacy. Kick back deep in the High Weald of Sussex and soak in the sights and sounds of this lush, primarily unspoilt area sprinkled with wildflowers and wildlife. Watch as dragonflies and butterflies glide between flowers, and listen to the sounds of birdsong peppered with the occasional croak of resident frogs. Keep your eyes peeled for newts, deer, rabbits and herons and listen to the calming calls of buzzards and woodpeckers. At night the distant hoots of owls add to the atmosphere as you watch over a sizzling grill or soak in the star-studded sky next to a crackling campfire. A shimmering wildlife pond, private garden, and bespoke courses like spatula making, spoon carving, basket willow weaving and more make this an ideal glamping retreat. Sorry, no pets.
