If you’re treating an adventuring angler to well-earned escape, or you consider yourself a fisherman of sorts, pack your bags and rumble over to Sumners Ponds Fishery and Campsite, an angler’s paradise surrounded by picturesque West Sussex countryside. The lovely site rests amid beautiful woodland, surrounded by peaceful meadows occasionally sprinkled with resident grazing cattle. Sit back and listen to the trills of birdsong and watch the daily activities taking part on this working cattle farm as you settle in for a restful escape from the rat race. The camping areas are split over three parks, namely Bluebell, Ribbon and Sumners, with each one designated for specific campers. Families are welcome to pitch or park up in Bluebell Park, which holds a kid’s play area ideally set adjacent to woodland walks and cycle tracks. Sumners Park is designated for the avid angler, boasting premium lakeside patches. Guests who prefer weather-proof camping are welcome to rent out a roomy camping pod. An award-winning café on-site provides a varied menu serving everything from cooked breakfasts and light lunches to tantalizing evening meals, including pan-fried tuna steak with chargrilled asparagus and a few other delectable items. There are four well-stocked lakes with carp, roach, bream, and pike and other catch, so come on by and unwind. Dogs are welcome.
