Granary Barn Camping is a lush, scenic countryside campsite set an ideal two miles from Helston and only three from Porthleven. This refreshing traditional Cornish site lies nestled on verdant green fields, with an abundance of wildlife for company, and generous pitches for stretching out and soaking in the rural atmosphere. Wildlife enthusiasts are in an excellent position for scenic hikes along the South West Coast Path, affording stunning vistas over Mount Bay, including St Michaels Mount. The former market of town of Helston is a mere two miles away, or a five-minute drive, and boasts a boating lake, skate park, park and a café. For more scenic walks head over to Porthleven and follow the beautiful scenic stroll along to the gorgeous Lizard Point. Savour the essence of Cornish culture as you explore Helston, home of the fabled ‘furry dance’ which supposedly takes part in May. The second oldest town in the country presents delighted visitors with a picture-postcard mélange of ancient pubs, pastry shops, and attractive old miners cottages. Many campsites in this area afford an abundance of spectacular sea views, well-stocked farm shops and swish abodes. Still, the most significant asset at Granary Barn is cheery owner Tom, who is always at hand to welcome guests and share his extensive knowledge of the local area.
