Set a short 5-minute stroll from arguably one of the best reefs in Cornwall, Porthleven beach, this welcoming, well-maintained campsite has oodles of space for the whole family and makes an excellent base for all manner of day trips. Swap your surfboard to surf the suburban settlements or follow a challenging long-distance hike along the South West Coast Path. If quirky cafes, traditional pubs, fine dining, and seasonal foods are more your forte, trek into the vibrant village of Porthleven. Here you can snack on Cornish pasties, sample an array of dishes at the award-winning Food Festival in July, and enjoy the excellent eateries all year. Evenings are for ales, and the free house at Mill Lane Campsite sells refreshing world-famous Cornish ale Spingo. Barbeques are encouraged, and pets are welcome.
