Porth Joke Camping Site is a lovely, small, secluded campsite that is quite popular; you’re likelier to win a lottery than bag a pitch in summer. The site is delightfully hidden, private, scenic, and relatively unknown, making this a real gem and a hidden paradise from the usual commercial sites. The site rests an easy 4-miles’ from the family-friendly and famous beach of Newquay, making it an ideal spot for active days of outdoorsy fun. The beach is perhaps one of the safest for swimming and a perfect location for the nippers to explore rock pools, splash in the waves, fly kites, and compete to make the biggest sandcastle with little adventurers on the beach. Porth Joke Camping Site is not for those who prize shiny new amenities, blaring evening entertainment, and plenty of options for eating out. Instead, this peaceful site rests down a relatively bumpy, sandy track through the dunes, approximately a mile from the nearest public road. There are no signs or indications that a lovely campsite rests down a scenic route to nowhere. The site is ideal for young families who want nothing more than to kick back in unspoilt surroundings and fill their days with sun, sand and surf. Sorry, no pets are allowed.
