Runnage Farm Campsite is not for those who prefer frills and fancy amenities. Instead, it is a quiet, simple site in a meadow that allows guests to unwind on a farm with home-reared meat if required and miles of open countryside extending in nearly every direction. There are no phone signals, and campers will need to walk back to the road to make calls – perfect for those who want to get the kids away from the screens and out under the golden sunshine. The farm rests on one side of Conifer Wood, and a shimmering stream rests on the other, providing guests with a lovely spot to cool off on those sweltering summer afternoons. Christine, the owner, is most accommodating, and her little on-site shop sells most of the required essentials. Pitches for tents and campervans are on grass with no electricity. Pets are welcome.
