The campsite rests on a single-track road, nestled amid a patchwork of emerald fields, offering a complete contrast from the high-density, amenity-filled parks in the area. The smashing location is often overlooked by the bucket and spade holidaymakers, providing guests with heaps of space and tranquillity for shaking off the stress of modern life. The secluded, unpretentious campsite is the spot for an old-fashioned wild camping escape. There are no shower conveniences, only portable toilets, washing up sinks, and drinking taps – perfect for an unspoiled camping experience. Wake up to some of the most captivating scenery in Devon, and enjoy open space and privacy by the bucket loads. Barbeque grills permitted, and campfires are encouraged. Pets most welcome. The well-appointed, spacious Belle tent has ample sleeping space for up to four adults, with a double bed, a single bed and a day bed. Small children can stay in the travel cot available on request, or an inflatable mattress, which the owners encouraged campers to bring along for their stay. Beds are made on arrival, and cow-themed duvets are sure to thrill the nippers. Towels are available for hire, and parents must bring along bedding for the additional kid. The swish abodes come kitted out with bedside cabinets, fairy lights and a lantern for the ultimate cosy feel. Outside, guests will find a private eco-toilet for the unit, a private shower room, a fab outdoor kitchen area equipped with a gas barbeque fire-pit, and a seating area for alfresco sizzles. There is an outdoor kitchen area for whipping up light meals and snacks, plus a wood-burning stove for keeping everyone nice and toasty throughout a night of stargazing and sing-alongs around the crackling campfire.
