Island Lodge is a traditional style AA five pennant campsite nestled in a peaceful, quiet rural area near the market town of Kingsbridge in South Hams, Devon. The site welcomes guests throughout the year and offers spacious, generously spaced plots on a 2-acre grassland camping space, enveloped by natural Devon hedgerows, placed on a privately owned 18-acre ‘dry island’. Sit back and savour the stunning rural settings as you listen to the calming trills of birdsong alongside the rustling of leaves as the wind dances through the shrubs and leafy treetops. Campers are in a designated South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, providing oodles of space for stretching out and soaking in the views. Grass pitches are available for tents, small campervans, motorhomes and caravans. Alternately, ‘super pitches’ on hardstanding with mains water and drainage is perfect for touring vehicles and awnings. All plots provide free electric connections. Amenities are modern and clean, providing separate facilities for ladies and gent with free hot showers, a family washroom, dishwashing area, token operated laundry facilities, water points, and disabled facilities are available on request. Families with little kids can usher the squirts over to the spacious, safe play area, complete with a swing, slide, walking beam, climbing frame, and ample space for playing ball games or running around. Barbeques are encouraged, and pets are most welcome.
